Dress code
At CAL the Health Science students have a dress code that is required to be worn at all times. If you are not wearing the appropriate dress code you will be sent to the office where you may possibly borrow some of the school's supply or you will be sent home. The amount of time that you follow the dress code and how well you follow it will contribute to your professionalism grade which is usually 10-15% of your overall grade.
Tip: I know it might get tiring to lug around that extra change of clothes/shoes all day and having to change back and forth, but, it is worth it! Don't just not wear your dress code because you're lazy. That will just end up falling back on you and hurting you in the long run. If you want to look cute for your new CAL friends, hang out with them on the weekend and dress however you want!

Rainbow Fridays
Shoes
|
On Rainbow Fridays you do not have to wear white shoes but you still have to abide by guidelines you are presented with. These include, close toed (no sandals, flats, etc.), no heels and they have to be primarily gray or black. The shoes seen to the left are a perfect example.
|
Scrubs
|
On Rainbow Fridays students are allowed to show their personal flare with a choice of scrubs. They can be of any color or pattern, again, as long as it is deemed appropriate. If you are questioning the appropriateness of your scrubs they are most likely not appropriate. But, if you feel the need to, you can ask Ms. Egan whether they are acceptable.
